about

1920s vintage style song of pitching woo :)

lyrics

i think you're swell
and i can tell
you think that i'm swell too
but you're afraid
this is a charade
that will break your heart in two

I'm a rather lucky so and so
so darling take a chance
please may i have this dance
who knows this could lead to romance

we mustn't wait
lest we tempt fate
and anger the stars above

its destiny's plan
so give me your hand
surrender yourself to love

please don't look at me suspiciously
with eyes askance
what if i'm right perchance
this could lead to romance
