about

Updated arrangement of a song I wrote a few years back.

lyrics

I've never been one to chase after the sun
or tan my skin golden brown
Some say I'm insane, 'cause I love the rain
Especially in my home town

My heaven is found, on the shores of Puget Sound
Its a joy that I can't explain. In Seattle when it rains
I get such a thrill, looking out from Queen Anne Hill
I adore the cobblestone lanes
and how they glisten when it rains

Hear the tick tick tock of the market clock
as the merchants sell their wares.
If you're feeling blue stroll fifth avenue
Say "adieu" to all your cares

I hear the happy notes of the ferry boats
as they sing their glad refrain.
And when raindrops hit my window pane
and skies are painted gray.
I get such a hoot under my bumbershoot
in Seattle when it rains.
