about

Country Western song about how true love lets us see past the imperfections in others.

lyrics

he's sitting in a motel room in little rock
just a stone's throw from the girl he loves
he's looking for the courage so he can take a walk
and ask her to be his wife
he hasn't seen the girl he loves from little rock
since the day after they left school
he served his country in afghanistan and iraq
'cause thats what american men do

it was his squads turn to be on patrol
when they came across an i.e.d.
well the good lord spared his life that day
but took his left leg just below the knee

so he's finally knocking on a door in little rock
she opens it up and is full of charm
thats when he finds out that an auto accident
cost his true love her right arm
well they hey got married at a church in little rock
the moral of the story is far from vague
sometimes finding true love in little rock
might cost you an arm and a leg
