about

To be honest, I've burned my usual weekly writing time working on a video for my daughter's song. So this is the first thing to pour out of me this morning ;)

lyrics

everybody's got the one love they know they wont forget
its what keeps them up at night hearts heavy with regret
might be the one that got away
or one they've never met
everybody writes their own sad song

Its a story thats been told a millions different ways
Expressing that deep sorrow in melodic phrase
Some will make you cry - some will brighten up your days
everybody writes their own sad song

While a broken heart is healing
while your head is reeling
There's a way we keep our souls well fed.
there aint no concealing
sorting out your feelings
and put them all to music in your head

don't matter if you sing for money, or cant carry a tune
Maybe it aint happened yet but no one is immune
Someday you'll feel your heart break
Its as certain as the moon
Everybody writes their own sad song.
