about

A song about feeling used.

lyrics

two a.m.,
and I'm in bed,
about to fall asleep
there goes my phone,
its your ringtone
i should screen the call
but I'm too weak

you beg and plead
confess your need
and i know i should refuse
i know why
this hurts my pride
but yet i'm still confused

why
don't you ever try
to ring me up
during daylight hours
not a single sound
till the sun gone down
still not clean
after fifty showers

the only time we have our fun
is when the worlds asleep
it don't feel right
I can't stay the night
'cause you've got early meetings
you must keep

kicked out of bed
so i lace my keds
and take the long walk home
when all's done and said
its back to bed
this time all alone

why
don't you ever try
to ring me up
during daylight hours
you never come around
till the sun goes down
you never bring me flowers

Two a.m.
curled up in bed,
I am fast asleep
silenced my phone,
so please intone
a brief message when
hear the beep
you can beg and plead
swearing your heart bleeds
more than any words can say
if you want it all
just make a call
in the light of day.

why
don't you ever try
to ring me up
during daylight hours
not a single sound
till the sun gone down
still not clean
after fifty showers

why
don't you ever try
to ring me up
during daylight hours
you never come around
till the sun goes down
you never bring me flowers
