about

This week I gave myself a true 5 minute challenge. So being me I naturally began pitching myself smart ass ideas. The first one was the obvious one, and thats the one that stuck. Granted production took another 60-90 minutes but this song was written in just under 5 minutes.

lyrics

i wrote this here song in about five minutes
there aren't a whole lot lyrics in it.
i thought "short and sweet" is how i'd begin it
got no clue on how it ends

a premise this fresh aint from a beginner
sloth is one of seven but i aint not sinner
so don't go calling me a lazy phoner-iner
lord tell me how it ends

la la la la la la la la la
i hope you don't catch on
that la la la la la la la la's
is what a songwriter sings
to fill up the space
when they cant think
of any other lyrics
to put in their new song

i confess i should have planned this out much better
and not let my fancy run amok unfettered
i should have spent the time knitting mom a sweater
i gotta know how this song ends

la la la la la la la la la
i hope you don't catch on
That la la la la la la la la's
is what a songwriter sings
to fill up the space
when they cant think
of any other lyrics
to put in their new song

i confess i should have planned this out much better
and not let my fancy run amok unfettered
i should have spent the time knitting mom a sweater
but this is how it ends
