You can keep October and its masquerade Take November and its big old parade yeah They are both fine holidays in many ways But they can't compare to Late in December when there's snow on the ground Everybody all gathers in the center of town So happy you're here with me No place that 'd rather be When they light up the tree (You Know that's its Christmas time) Nights are chilly and clear And I'm holding you near my favorite time of the year (You Know that's its Christmas time) Just a few days till Christmas Eve When Santa Claus comes if you believe Presents will soon be beneath the tree for you and me But all I want is For you to be certain that I love you so And maybe find you flirting underneath the mistletoe BRIDGE- Its more than a state of mind you here at christmas time you can look but may never find a love like yours and mine So go ahead and keep July, and June. September and August and the harvest moon Now they're all fine times of the year, let me make this clear Its just that I can't wait 'til Late in December when there's snow on the ground Everyone gathers in the center of town CHORUS REPEAT TIL FADE
2.
There's a chill in the air but I don't mind All the folks on the street all seem so kind Forget about your daily grind This particular time of year There are twinkling lights on every street A smiling face for folks you meet Some mistletoe and your night's complete This particular time of year I know it sounds outrageous But you can sense it in the air This kind of joy's contagious Its a happy sort of feeling everywhere So bundle up and head outdoors Window shopping at all the stores Here's good tidings to you and yours This particular time of year
3.
Once again its time of year When we sing of Christmas cheer Chilly nights wishing you were here That's what this is. I told Santa so long ago That I still really love you so The only thing I asked for so you know Is some Christmas Kisses. I know its just a foolish dream Thinking you'd come back to me Snuggled up all warm and cozy Underneath the Christmas tree As sure as Santa's reindeer fly You can't blame me if I try Wishing on the winter sky For some Christmas kisses. credits
4.
Another cold and cozy christmas eve we've trimmed the tree the kids are upstairs snoozin' a perfect time for you and me to get snuggly and do a little boozin' The year's flown by can you believe that on our roof reindeer will be tapping Then santa down our chimney so we three can do some real night-cappin' Take a shaker full of ice, crushed candy canes are awfully nice pour in some spirits and shake thrice, and garnish with a little christmas cheer lets lift your glass to santa's heath, then nostrovia to all his elves the third time raise one to yourself, enjoy your merry christmas cocktail
5.
There no Santa some folks say But I don't view the world that way way I'm grown up and I can say that I believe in Santa As we grow older some become discouraged, bitter and sort of dumb pay them no mind is my rule of thumb 'cause 'cause I believe in Santa He's out there for the greater good dropping by each neighborhood and i know he wish he could visit every day Tell me what good is achieved when you crush a kid's beliefs to steal their joy just like a thief is awful propaganda there are many shades of truth and i think some are quite uncouth perhaps it takes a tragic youth to make them forsake Santa Peace on warth good will to men what an awful message to try and send I don't feel the need to defend why I believe in Santa spoken: no Virginia, there is a Santa Claus
6.
I always find when christmas time comes 'round each year the latest ads are pushing fads dressed up as cheer we get crazed in a daze of shopping excess we forget about the ways we're blessed don't matter if you're faithful or a skeptic inside don't care what you believe in thats for you to decide but a simple fact of life by chance or design none of us have very much time Life seem so long when you're a small child the days drag by ever so slow Life moves along we all live in denial wondering' where on earth the time did go so listen to these words before it gets too late tell the people that you love "you love them" don't you wait you can't go out looking for it in a shopping mall love is the best gift of all love is the best gift off all
7.
shave your eyebrows girls and boys criticize the latest toys wax your moustache joy of joys! Its a hipster christmas door to door out caroling really isn't quite their thing jingle bells is too mainstream for a hipster christmas Hipsters needn't worry 'bout magical reindeer while Riding round on bicycles that have only one gear Hipsters needn't worry about Santa and his elves Because self importance is the gift they can give themselves discuss cool bands that no one's seen tell your friends that you've gone green had to sell your car is what you mean Its a hipster christmas Hipsters don't like christmas songs during time of yule They sing of the holidays in March before its cool Hipsters don't think Santa is a man that need be feared He has to be a hipster wearing tights and that boss beard Schizophrenic sense of style Retro-white trash with douche bag guile Pounding Pabst beer all the while With a hipster sneer have hipster christmas and an ironic new year
8.
signs of christmas all around since you've gone i have found jingle bells make an awful sound there's no christmas without you I've trimmed the tree put up the lights but I keep them all dark at night being cheerful just don't seem right its not christmas without you seasons greetings are self-defeating my pride i'm eating it whole love is fleeting since our first meeting you've burned right in to my soul curling up next the fire's roar i'm dead inside right to the core i know i won't get what i'm asking for there's no christmas without you
9.
christmas comes much earlier each year Its not that I don't love the yuletide cheer it seems that we don't remember watching summer turn to fall we would wait until december before we go hit the mall we've become cavalier about christmas coming earlier each year don't care for early christmas I won't lie poor reindeer getting heatstroke in july if we're not careful i can see april full of christmas Trees caroling in may seems quite insincere the example that we're setting is aiding and abetting christmas coming earlier each year santa and his merry elves need time to stock up their shelves they may strike if things get too austere they've got to make a living so lets get through thanksgiving lets have christmas at christmas time this year
